The Rev. Robert Ralph (my dad/Bible teacher and Mr. Brady at Jr. High II 2007) made a bet with his youth group at Kemble Memorial UMC in Woodbury a while back that if they raised $14,000 for the 30 Hour Famine, he’d die his hair pink.
Far from being a punk rock pastor, this wager was risky business for the 59-year-old who preaches in a white robe every Sunday. The youth group responded, raising a whopping $14,500 for World Vision.
As the above pictures show, my dad kept his word.
