cjAfter a 10-year stint living in Mississippi, our good friend CJ Caufield will be returning not only to New Jersey but to a home conveniently located on camp property just in time for the start of the summer camp season this year.

The camp board of directors named CJ camp coordinator at their meeting in Sicklerville Tuesday evening. CJ and his lovely wife Carrie will be moving to the Matt Warchol House (formerly known as the caretaker house) at 171 Sooy Place Rd. at the end of June.

As camp coordinator, CJ will be focusing on hospitality, connections with churches and coordination of volunteers and resources. He will officially start in the position on July 1.

In other words, we’ll be seeing a whole lot more of CJ this summer and throughout the year, something I consider one of the most exciting bits of news I’ve ever gotten to share on this blog.

I’ve known and looked up to CJ ever since I started coming to camp in the early ’90s and can’t wait to see him help lead the camp into the future.

Please keep CJ and Carrie in your prayers during this time of transition. As exciting as this opportunity is for them, it will surely be difficult to leave their friends in Mississippi.
