Barq’s Root Beer pulled off the buzzer beater to defeat 7th-seeded Sprite and give the Soft Drinks region two root beers in the second round. Snapple and Gatorade advanced as the only non-soda drinks in the region, which should have tougher decisions to make for voters in the second round.
