Teen Camp 2014 is finally here! The theme of the week is Kingdom Come based from Matthew 6:10,
“Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”
This coming week, we are looking at the life of Peter; last night, we specifically looked at “The Call to Follow,” and opening our heart to where God is calling us. Shane Smith, the speaker for the week, challenged us to fully realize Jesus is enough for our every need. You can take everything away, leaving only Jesus, and we will have more than enough. Closing service last night, each camper and staff member was encouraged to open their hearts to hear the voice of God and then to obey it, to see The Kingdom Come here on earth.
This is going to be an incredible week filled with worship, teaching from God’s Word, playing games, building friendships, and typical camp life…you know, the bug bites, heat, late nights, and no sleep. I am so excited for this week and everything God has in store for each and every one of us.
