Name: Sarah Chambers
Nickname: I don’t really have one. But, some kid called me Chamber of Secrets in 2nd grade. I thought it was quite clever.
Age: 16
Hometown: Egg Harbor Township , NJ
High School/College/Grad. School/Seminary: Egg Harbor Township High School
Years on Summer Staff: This will be the first.
Years attending Delanco: Basically my entire life. So, 16 years.
Home Church: Zion United Methodist Church
Favorite childhood cartoon: ‘Doug’ was my all-time favorite growing up.
Fondest Camp memory: That’s a toughie. Probably my first Mike Bill camp though. It was amazing. I got to meet Tenth Ave for the first time, and see their concert, and hear Mike D. speak. It was just an awesome week that I know I’ll never forget!
Favorite Camp theme: Land of the Lost
Favorite snack in the Camp store: Anything cold, or chocolate. With either, I’m one happy camper.
Favorite devotional book: True: A Teen Devotional (Words from the Rock). It’s a bunch of short devotions based on the teachings and words of Jesus. I read it every morning. It’s such a great way to start my morning.
Favorite Bible verse: Philippians 1:21 “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is to gain”.
Why did you want to be on summer staff this summer?
Next summer, my family is moving to Tennessee after I graduate, so this was my only chance. Plus, I’ve always wanted to be on permanent staff since middler camp.
What are you most looking forward to this summer?
I’m just excited to be at camp for an entire summer. It’s a second home to me.
What impact has Delanco Camp had on your life?
Through all the years I’ve gone to Delanco, I’ve met some amazing fellow Christians who I still stay in contact with. I’ve never felt closer to God than at Camp, and every year I look forward to growing stronger in my faith and fellowshipping with some great people.
If we were to do a reality show about this year’s summer staff, what would do you think it could be called?
True Life: I work at Delanco Camp. Original, right?
If you could live in any state and have your dream job, what would they be? Definitely New York , and an author/publisher.
Elevator Testimony: I was born into a Christian home, and grew up in the church and going to Delanco. But my first real experience of God was when my mom was diagnosed with cancer when I was in 6th grade. Ever since, I’ve been living for God, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
Oh E Oh, Killer Tofu!

Sarah I hope you enjoy everything about spending the entire summer at camp! The summer uncle Tony and I spent serving at camp are some of the best memories :). Love you <3
