It’s no secret that Delanco Camp has a time-honored connection to a small liberal arts college in Wilmore, Ky.

Dozens of our camp leaders, speakers, counselors and local pastors have made the 11-hour journey to Kentucky to pursue college degrees (several have stuck around another 3-4 years to get a seminary degree across the street as well) and grow deeper in their Christian commitment and understanding of Holiness.

The impact Asbury College has had on our camp is unmistakable.

And while those of us with diplomas from other colleges are just as welcome at Lake Agape (my diploma says Lebanon Valley College), we can’t help but celebrate our connection to this great institution of higher education and encourage campers and visitors to seriously consider it as a college option.

If you are an Asbury graduate or a high schooler knee deep in promotional literature from colleges, you won’t want to miss Asbury College night at Camp Meeting on June 30.

Following the Monday evening service, Asbury representative and fellow Delanco Camp alum Michael Burnight ’94 will share an update from Asbury College. Ice cream sundaes will be served as well so you definitely won’t want to miss it.

Rumor has it, this devoted blogger and honorary Asburian (my brother and sister-in-law are graduates of the college and my soon-to-be-wife will be graduating from the seminary in December) might also be in attendance.

  1. The Ralphs (Mama, Matt, Mike, Faith, and Ella) will be visiting Monday night to catch up with old friends, and most of all eat ice cream. Is anyone else going?
