Junior High 1 will be taking you back to the late ’80s with the theme “Be Excellent,” a phrase inspired by a Bible verse and a song that is oft repeated – the excellent part at least – in the 1989 movie Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure. Here’s a brief taste of the fun that’s in store.
The theme verse is Romans 16:19, which doesn’t actually say “be excellent” but has a song based on the verse that goes “Romans 16:19 says, ‘Be excellent at what is good, be innocent of evil.”
The program directors for the week are Sarah Lee and Kevin Wolf.
Dates are July 13-19.
There will be games somewhat loosely based upon scenes from the movie, a barn dance and much more.
