Elevator testimony: When my parents told me they were seperating and getting a divorce, I didn’t know what to do or what to say, but God wrapped His arms around me and told me that everything will be alright (and it has been)…which is why I love Jeremiah 29:11 because He does know our plan and our future and He doesn’t mean to hurt us, but it is His master plan and you have to understand that =)
Why did you want to be on permanent staff: I wanted to return to Permanent Staff because I missed working and being at camp all the time last summer (2009), and I felt I could definitely could be involved with camp more by returning to Permanent Staff -to serve the Lord, spread His amazing love, and have some fun!
What are you most looking forward to this summer? I am most looking forward for really all the different camps and age groups again and the great list of deans, we have this summer…and of course, getting to know my fellow Permanent Staffers more and hope we help/grow together in Him.
What is your fondest camp memory? I have WAY too many Delanco Camp memories, for 17 years, but I will pick one that happen sort-of recently and not during the summer….I had the privilege of having a helping hand in Wally’s proposal to Melissa, one evening at camp. The funny thing, I was there for a totally different reason (helping CJ by moving some bunks), and then I found out that Wally was bringing Melissa to camp to propose to her. So before I knew it, I was hanging up lights and hiding around camp taking pictures…and she said, “yes!” so we all celebrated and chilled the rest of the night.
What is something interesting about you that didn’t come up in the permanent staff interview? Some interesting about me that didn’t come up in the interview is I have no idea? lol…maybe that I am ‘The Best Man’ for the first time in my life this summer for Justin and Becky’s Wedding (coming this July!)
Do you have a hidden talent? My hidden talent is playing air guitar (because it’s really hard to do, these days).
Would you like to add anything? I would like to add: Come Visit “Turtle’s Shell Shack” this summer!
I love the baseball card style for the staff members photos and stats. Is there possibly going to be a set of cards to collect, complete with wax paper wrapping and a stick of gum?
I agree with Mike. I hope to collect the whole set.
this is my rookie card so hold on to it could be worth something some day
