What is the fall retreat?
October 10-12 is Delanco’s Jr./Sr. High Retreat. It’s an opportunity to pack a week’s worth of camp into one weekend. It’s a time to reconnect with friends from other churches and schools who we met during the summer. It’s a time to allow God to work in our lives.
What time does it start/end?
Registration is from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 10. Camp ends at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 12.
What’s the theme of the retreat?
The theme of the retreat is Waving The White Flag. We’ll be talking about what it means to give everything to God. We’ll be looking at what it means to give up our desires and to pursue the desires of God.
Who’s speaking at the retreat?
This year’s speaker is Dustin Staples. Dustin is a graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University and a youth pastor in Franklin, Penn., who God is using in exciting ways. Dustin is a creative communicator who will lead us to a deeper understanding of God’s love for us.
What’s the schedule going to be like?
The schedule will somewhat mirror a typical Delanco day. Friday night will be registration, worship, snacks, and a late night activity. Saturday will have chapel and classes in the morning. Some organized games and free time in the afternoon. The evening will have some activities, worship, snack, and late-night games. One Sunday, we’ll clean up, worship, and head home. A more precise schedule will be available soon.
What are the age ranges for the retreat?
Any student currently in grades 7-12 can attend the retreat. While there will be times when the group is together (worship, meals, games), there will also be time where Jr. and Sr. High students are seperated to help meet their individual needs. Saturday morning classes will be different for the students as well as rooming arrangements.
