It has been interesting to watch what the campers do during free time. A few play in the lake, a few go fishing or out on boats, and some staff members help organizes planned tournaments. Today, there was a Kan Jam tournament put together by Garth and Frankie, a Gaga tournament led by Justin, and a random game of soccer outside the snack shop.
As I was walking around camp for these different events, it became obvious these campers love to play sports and be active. But more than that, they love including everyone in each activity. I was amazed and at times slightly shocked at the effort each camper/staff put into making each person feel welcomed into the tournament or game.
I love watching friendships form and relationships grow at camp. Each week it encourages my heart at the way every camper and every staff reach out and show the love of Christ through their actions.
