Briefly explain to us your testimony
I became a Christian when I was about 3 years old. I remember driving in the car with my mom (near Costco) and I asked my mom how I could become a Christian. She told me that I only needed to ask Jesus to come into my heart and for God to forgive me of my sins. I remember that I asked her how many times I should do that, and she said, “only once.” I was so young that I wanted to make sure that God heard me so I prayed three times. Since then I have been very involved in many activities that are focused on God. I attended a Christian school in New York City from kindergarten-5th grade. When my family moved to New Jersey right before sixth grade I became involved in my church youth group. I also belong to a small discipleship group which is run through my youth group. I have felt God speak to me when I have been on my missions trips to Guatemala, as well as in Camden, New Jersey. From a very young age I said that I wanted to be in ministry and during these short term missions trips I have felt God’s call to go into the missions field.
