It wasn’t just Delanco Camp folks participating in the Third Annual International Wear Your Summer Camp T-shirt Day on Tuesday. People from around the world represented their summer camps by sporting their favorite camp shirt and sending photographs to event organizer Camp Craze, which along with CRAZE Interactive collected more than 600 photos of people in their camp shirts. Following through with their promise to donate $5 for every photo emailed, tweeted and posted on their Facebook page, the company announced yesterday that they donated $3,395 to the American Red Cross’s Superstorm Sandy Relief efforts.

“We were overwhelmed by the incredible participation of summer camp campers, staff, parents and alumni who took part in International Camp T-Shirt Day,” said Jason Lasker, of CRAZE Interactive, in a statement. “Our team spent an extra two days counting and organizing the 679 photos which poured in throughout the day on Tuesday. We could not be more thrilled to be making a donation of $3,395 to support the American Red Cross in their relief efforts after Sandy.”

Thanks to everyone who participated this year. We still have some of our limited edition Camp T-shirt Day shirts available in our online store for $16 postage paid. For every shirt we sell we’ll be donating $2 to UMCOR’s relief efforts. We also just restocked the 2012 Wompus shirts and sweatshirts.
