On Monday, we had the privilege of hosting Jack and Laura, a couple of summer staffers from Camp Stella Maris in upstate New York who are make a cross country trek to visit summer camps in the U.S. and Canada. We were stop three on their journey and while they were here (Mike Ralph and I hosted them) we gave them a tour of the camp and talked about the camp’s history and programs. For lunch, we took them to favorite local hotspot Nixons General Store and visited the Emilio Carranza memorial before returning back to the camp, where they shot some videos and Laura, a recent graduate with an art degree in painting and drawing, painted one of the benches as you see pictured above.
Below is one of the videos they shot, which talks about our frisbee golf course. For more information on Camping Coast to Coast, check out their Facebook page at facebook.com/campingcoasttocoast.
