A Day @ Camp
Schedules fluctuate between weeks. However, many schedules include the following components:
Morning Classes
From about 8 a.m. to noon, students engage in morning classes and chapel. These are interactive sessions designed to connect students with God and help them grow in their daily walk and relationship with Christ.
Afternoon Freetime
During the afternoon between 1 to 4:30 p.m., students have free-time to hang out with friends and do a variety activities. Occasionally, the first hour of free time is for planned recreation. These are pre-planned activities that all campers are encouraged to participate in.
Evening Service
This 1-2 hour component near the evening is a typical worship, similar to a church with worship songs and a message. Evening worship is designed to educate our students about God and how to live a Godly life.
Night Game
Around 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. are our evening activities. This usually entails a game, done outside (weather permitting) that all campers participate in. The games could be as basic as a camp-wide Capture the Flag or indoor Dodgeball to something more unique such as Pirates in Lake Agape and Bible Smugglers.
Meal Time
Even though meal menus fluctuate between weeks, the average menu for the week could include:
- Breakfast: pancakes with sausage or french toast or waffles with bacon. The daily option is always cereal & fruit.
- Lunch: hot dogs, chicken patty sandwiches, hoagies, or pretzel roll sandwiches. The daily option is PB&J.
- Dinner: sweet & sour chicken, turkey, pasta, or taco bar. The daily option is a salad bar.
- Late-Night Snack: chicken nuggets & mozzarella sticks, chipwiches, nachos & fries, or corndogs.
The four meals here are included with your camp payment. You can also purchase snacks such as soda, ice cream, and candy from the Snack Shop during the afternoon.
