  1. I tell people all the time that serving Jesus by serving others is limited only by our creativity. We need to change our lifestyle to one that truly puts others first in attempts to be like Jesus. Every area of our lives needs a close inspection: finances, time, priorities, other resources, etc.

One area I have been challenged on lately is to find a level of living that we believe is comfortable and God honoring and to stay at that level. Whenever we receive pay increases or extra resources that would increase that level of living- we ought to give it away to those in need.

I know this is not specifics but just my initial thoughts. Good discussion!

    1. I was supposed to get a copy of that book to review but for some reason it never came. I need to add it to my wishlist.

      1. It really is quite amazing and a current story which I think makes it all that better

  2. I have needed help in the past but the help I needed must was for someone to tell me what to do with my sin.

  3. I like to make a budget for holiday shopping and ensure that the less fortunate are included in my budget. Whatever I spend on my loved ones I also spend donating to local organizations, my sponsor child in Uganda and global missions.

My pastor last year referred to it as our Christmas gift to the world. As a church we were able to raise money for a church building to be built in Kenya because we as a congregation included our brothers and sisters in Kenya in our circle of giving.

  4. One way our church is helping someone in the community battling leukemia is to host a benefit concert.
