<p>Worship at all three services will be led by the worship team from <a href="https://www.facebook.com/pages/Fearless-Christian-Fellowship/196660557097037" target="_blank">Fearless Christian Fellowship</a>, a young adult ministry in Millville, NJ. All services start at 7:30 pm.</p>
<p>There will be a residential program for the weekend for young adults and families. The cost is $95 for the weekend per person. Kids under 12 can come free with their family. Plan to arrive at camp at 6 p.m. on May 24. The program will end after the service Sunday evening.</p>

<p>I always believe that God laughs at us sometimes because He thinks &#8220;I knew that was going to happen a long, long, long time ago&#8221; in certain situations or connections we may have now, but didn’t have a couple of years ago. Well add this story to the list. If you have never heard of Chelsea Musick then I wouldn&#8217;t be surprised because I never have until I found out she is the niece of my stepmother, Rocky Musick. Chelsea is a Christian Country artist and what’s crazier is that she is a South Jersey girl!</p>
<p>I invite you to go to <a href="http://www.chelseamusick.com/" target="_blank">her website</a> to check her out more and the story behind the song I chose today called “Perfectly You” from her album &#8220;Perfectly You.&#8221; It’s about that we all have flaws and we “don’t have to give in to the things that this world wants you to do” – just like 1 John 2:15 says that &#8220;Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.&#8221;</p>
<p>She&#8217;ll be performing at Creation East for the first time this summer so be sure to check her out if you&#8217;re going.</p>

<p>Goodsearch has been busy lately adding more and more features. There are now a total of seven ways you can earn money for your favorite charity through the <a href="http://www.goodsearch.com" target="_blank">GoodSearch.com</a> website. They include the traditional web searching, shopping online, dining out at participating restaurants, taking surveys, participating in online offers, playing games online and watching advertising videos.</p>
<p>With the additional fundraising streams, we earned a total of <strong>$90.68</strong> for the camp in the month of April &#8211; $11.95 from searches, $75 from online shopping, $1.89 from dining out, $1.48 from surveys, $.34 from playing games and $.02 from watching advertising videos.</p>
<p>That makes April our best month for 2013 and brings our year total to <strong>$160.89</strong>.</p>

<p>Today’s entry isn&#8217;t going to be long because Hillsong United is a well-known artist and most of you<br />
know this song by now from their latest album <em>Zion</em>, which dropped at the end of February of this year. I chose this song in particular because it is probably my favorite, but seriously, the ENTIRE album is fantastic so go get a copy yourself!</p>
<p>This song talks about walking upon the Lord&#8217;s path with His help where our feet may fail or fall or stumble, etc. I particularly love to close my eyes, lift my arms up, and stretch my hands out and burst out singing to the bridge of this song: &#8220;Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders, let me walk upon the waters, wherever You would call me. Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander, and my faith will be made stronger, in the presence of my Savior.&#8221;</p>

<p>I winced at the thought of it. Why did I do that again? I was with my co-workers, everyone was laughing and having fun, and it happened. I did it again. I dropped more of those words I hate. Why do I say these things I do not want to say? Why do I feel the need to use such profane language when I am with them? The simple answer is&#8230;</p>
<p><strong>I want them to like me.</strong></p>
<p>It doesn’t matter. It’s only a few words. It’s not offending anyone so it isn’t wrong, right? I can make all the excuses in the world, but at the end of the day I know that God doesn’t like it.</p>
<p>IT. What exactly is IT that He doesn’t like?</p>
<p>The Bible says, “Out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks” (Matt 12:34, NIV). Another translation puts it this way, “Whatever is in your heart, determines what you say” (Matt 12:34, NLT). The core issue isn’t even the cussing; it’s my heart.</p>
<p><strong>I want THEM to like me.</strong></p>
<p>God knows as long as this is the motive of my heart, as long as it is set to please them, I will continue to do and say whatever it takes for this to happen. And this is a dangerous trap. Proverbs 29:25 says, “Fearing people is a dangerous trap, but trusting the Lord means safety.” God hates to watch me walk willingly into that trap. This is what He does not like.</p>
<p>It has and will be our natural bent to want other people’s approval. We must daily reset our hearts and recalibrate them to follow ONLY Him. It has been said, “Any kingdom divided against itself will fall” (Matt 12:25). We cannot try to please both God and people. To do so is to create a war within ourselves that will destroy us. It is only when our hearts scream &#8220;I want ONLY HIM!&#8221; that we will find the freedom to act and speak in a manner that pleases Him.</p>
<p><strong>I want ONLY HIM.</strong></p>
<p>Matthew 12:33 says, &#8220;A tree is identified by its fruit, if a tree is good, its fruit will be good.&#8221; When our hearts are set on only Him, our actions will naturally follow. Guard your hearts against people-pleasing. Train your eyes to look to Him instead of them before you speak, before you act, before you move. As you seek Him, He will be faithful to “add all these things unto you” &#8211; to provide the friends, the affirmation, and the love you long for and need (Matt 6:33).</p>
<p>I am praying for you, as Paul did for his church in the first century, that &#8220;out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God&#8221; (Eph 3:16-19).</p>

<p>If you have never heard of For Today before, I would not be surprised. I am usually not a fan of scream-o music, but I actually would consider For Today a step below scream-o and a step above TFK/Disciple/Red/Skillet type of bands. Most of you will say they are scream-o, and that’s okay, but I say they are a step below scream-o because you can actually understand their lyrics and with most scream-o bands I know – I can’t understand one word they say hahaha.</p>
<p>Anyway, For Today released a new EP a couple weeks ago called <em><a href="http://www.christianbook.com/Christian/Books/product?event=AFF&amp;p=1156874&amp;item_no=CD44556" target="_blank">Prevailer</a></em> and the song &#8220;Crown of Thorns&#8221; is the choice today. If you think their music is hardcore, then you have to listen (or read if you can’t understand them) to their lyrics because they are just as hardcore (lingo for &#8220;pretty good&#8221;). Just a sample from the song I love a lot is the passion when they say, &#8220;It should have been me, with the nails through my hands and feet, facing the wrath of God, it should have been me, left to pay for my sin forsaken, but in the blood I stand, it should be have been me&#8230;”</p>

<p>This year&#8217;s annual dinner on Saturday night was a bittersweet send-off for camp caretaker CJ Caufield and his wife, Carrie, who were honored during the event at Villa Manor in Winslow.</p>
<p>But it was also a night to celebrate the ministry of camp and raise funds that will support the ministry moving forward into another summer camp season. In total, $10,500 was raised from the event.</p>
<p>Linda Dugan, who helped organize the event, had this to say in a message on Facebook:</p>
<blockquote><p>A huge Thank You to all who attended the Annual Delanco Camp dinner last night. It was a fun evening filled with many who shared their hearts story about Delanco Camp. Special thanks to Faith Crossan, Valerie Tate and Steve Hughes who shared experiences that have impacted them. The night brought in $10,500 to be used for the good of the camp. Many volunteered that evening and many brought baskets for our Silent Auction. Again, to anyone who helped in anyway, and there were many of you, I am grateful and Delanco Camp is blessed because of faithful servants like you! With a very grateful heart, Linda Dugan on behalf of many.</p></blockquote>
